Best Vacation Ever--- Greece

I sure wish I would have blogged when we first got home because now it seems so long ago.  It took me a while to edit 1600 pictures and I had to wait on the good ones from my parents.  I'm not going to write a lot in this blog; it'll mainly be pictures so get ready!!!! :) This was by far the most fun vacation we have ever been on.  I'm not sure if it is because Aiden is with us now or what, but we had a blast.  Don't get me wrong, traveling that far with a 16 month old has it's moments but overall he was really great.

Heading to the airport.

Aiden all strapped in ready to go!  We got this nifty little device so we didn't have to take a car seat.  It was awesome!

I thought this was funny (looking back).  Aiden didn't sleep the entire 9 hour flight from DFW to London until the last 40 minutes.

We made it!

Athens transit hotel.  We woke up at 3:00 a.m. with a little jet lag so we decided to walk the halls and play in the elevator! :)

Ferry from Athens to Mykonos

The ferry was about 4.5 hours to Mykonos so we had a lot of time to kill.  Aiden LOVED looking at the "wa wa"

View from our room in Mykonos

Aiden swimming with Nana.  The water was so cold so this was as far as he would go.

Josh and dad standing in front of our rooms.

Lunch by the water.  Most meals were eaten outside and were full 5 course meals!  The food was awesome!!!

Aiden and Pop by the water.  Aiden could coax anyone to take him to the "wa wa".

 Bye-bye Mykonos!

 Hello Santorini

Sunset from our hotel in Santorini over the caldera

We drove from the port at the bottom of the mountain all the way up to the top. It was very scary!!!

Shopping in Santorini

We took a gondola down to the shopping at the bottom of the mountain.

Some people rode donkeys back up... I did not! :)

 Thira, Santorini

Drinks on the balcony before dinner.

We visited a monastery there.  It was at the highest point on the island.

Santorini has many wineries and this is how they grow their grapes, not in rows.

Aiden is now in the Maui Jim club.

Anytime we would see Japanese tourist they were holding up the peace sign... dad decided to do the same!

Black sand beach

Aiden would not touch the sand or water!

Skipping rocks

Pop and Aiden took some rocks home with them.

We visited the largest winery in Santorini.

Oia, Santorini

 Sunset in Oia

After the sun went down it was SO cold.  Aiden was a good sport.

 Bye-bye Santorini!

Ferry from Santorini back to Athens.  Aiden watching a little Mickey Mouse and enjoying his sandwich!

Acropolis behind Marcus

Visiting the New Acropolis Museum.  Aiden was standing on glass that was placed over some Greek ruins.

The Erecthion

 Last night in Athens

Everywhere we went the Greek people would give Aiden free goodies.  At this shop they gave him a flag and he loved it!

Waving his flag!!

Aiden wanted to shop too!

Goodbye Greece!  See you next time!
