January Randomness

There is no point to this post.  I just got my Mac back and needed to upload some pictures about what has been going on this January.  We have had pretty great weather around here lately so Aiden and I have really been enjoying playing outside. The beginning of January had some pretty cold weather and today we are having really cold, icy weather but other than that it's been great!  We have definitely been taking advantage of the fact that we live down the street from a park.

Below are a couple pictures of Aiden trying out his wagon outside for the first time.  He has been in it several times since.  In fact, we took a walk a couple days ago and he decided to bring Woody with him.  We strapped Woody in and took off.  Poor Woody had more of an adventure than we anticipated as he was tossed out of the moving wagon and left at the park.  Thankfully, Josh noticed and went to get him.  :)

A couple weekends ago I took some of my students to the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas so Aiden and Josh decided to tag along.

 To be completely honest, Aiden enjoyed the cracks in the floor more than the airplanes! :)

They had a very fun kids section in the museum where Josh and Aiden hung out a lot of the time.  His favorite part was Jay Jay the Flying Airplane!

We had such a fun weekend this past weekend.  Saturday was in the 70's so we really wanted to spend some time outdoors.  Josh and I took Aiden to the Heard Museum in McKinney.  They have ton of nature trails, a couple animals on display, and this weekend they had their annual 'Dinosaurs Live' exhibit.  Aiden LOVED the dinosaurs.  He wanted to walk right up to them.  I took TONS of pictures not realizing I didn't have my memory card in :(.  I got the video camera out towards the end and took some video.  Not the greatest quality on here for some reason but it shows the neat dinosaurs.

Lastly, Aiden got a fun motorized car from his Aunt Sarah and Uncle Joe for Christmas.  We finally let Aiden try it and he lovesssss it.  He is so fun on it!  I uploaded a quick video of him trying to learn how to push the button to make it go.  He is a pro now! :)  --- Again, not the greatest quality on here and you might want to turn your volume down I'm kind of loud.

Snowy days!

Today is yet another snowy day in Dallas.  Unfortunately, it isn't the fun fluffy snow.  We have hard, icy snow with bitterly cold winds.  Aiden and I won't be heading out to play in the snow but we did a couple weeks ago when it snowed.  Here are a couple pictures of Aiden all bundled up enjoying playing in the snow.

 

He was happy to be back inside.  He was over the snow about 3 minutes after going outside!

Aiden 12 Month Checkup

It's hard to believe that Aiden had his 12 month checkup.  He has grown so much, not really in weight but that's okay! :)  He is such an active little guy.  Always on the move! 

Here is a picture of Aiden exactly one year ago! He has changed so much. 

Aiden's 12 month stats: 

*Weight- 20 lbs 12.5 oz 14% (He has gained 12 pounds)

*Height- 31 1/2 inches 85% (He has grown 10 inches!)

*Head circumference- 18 3/4 inches 77%

After much debate, Josh and I decided that Aiden should get the MMR shot.  He has never had all of his shots on one day but he did this time.  He got two in his left leg and two in his right.  He took them like a champ, cried for a few seconds, then went right back to smiling.  He is always such a happy little guy!
