Girls time!

I was quite spoiled in April!  I started the month off with a trip to San Francisco with my best friend, Erin.  We spent three nights with no kids, no husband, and no responsibilities!  It was a fabulous weekend.  We did lots of sightseeing, lots of shopping, and LOTS of wine sippin'!  :)

Lombard Street...we walked to it.

Giants Game!  Erin and I bought some tickets from a guy off the street.  Unfortunately, we were too excited to get into the game that we didn't notice the seats were not together!  Oh well....

People waiting for a home run!

I have 1000 pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was so beautiful!

Nicholson Ranch Winery---it was my favorite of the day!

Madonna Winery--- second favorite!

I ended the month with a girls weekend in Dallas.  I know, I know, I live 25 minutes from Dallas, but this was very different.  Several friends and I spent the weekend celebrating Marci, Pam, and Kristin's 30th birthday by spending Saturday at the Crescent Spa, laying out by the pool, having a nice dinner at Nick and Sam's, and ending the night with lots of dancing!  We followed with brunch Sunday morning just before heading back to reality.   For pictures, via Marci, check out the blog below.  I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures on here directly!

Easter 2011

Easter was very special this year, mainly because we had a wonderful church to worship at that was OURS.  Normally on Easter, we would either not go to church or go to a church that we had visited before but not this year!!!  We have a church, a home, that we looooove and it was great to have a place to really resonate on the meaning of the day.  After church I made a big lunch and Josh's sister Kim and Justin came over.  They were so sweet and brought Aiden a bunch of Easter goodies.  The Easter bunny also visited him before church so he was very spoiled that day!  Here is a recap of our Easter weekend!

Aiden and I spent Friday decorating cookies.  He didn't understand we had to decorate BEFORE we could eat them! :)

Figuring it out...

Aiden's finished bunny!

NOW eat!

Haha, I loved this.  He was definitely in a cookie coma!

Easter bunny came!

Bubbles before the egg hunt.

Checking out his goods

We just did an egg hunt in our backyard.  Unfortunately, Aiden missed the neighborhood egg hunt because we were out of town the weekend before.  He still had a great time finding "balls" with Coop!

When he finished finding all the eggs (balls as he would say) Justin and Kim would throw them around the yard again for him to pick up.  This never-ending egg hunt was very entertaining!

He was super pumped about ham for lunch!  He love it all! :)

East Texas trip

Some of our very good friends live about 2.5 hours away in Big Sandy, Texas.  It is so peaceful going there and we love it.  Rusty and Lindsay are always such gracious host and we really enjoy going to their house.  Lindsay was about to give birth to sweet baby Erin so she was especially gracious!  This was a very spontaneous trip which is something we haven't done a lot of since Aiden was born.  It is easy to pick up and go to their house though.  Their house is so comfortable and welcoming and they have a little girl, Emily, who is a little bit older than Aiden so their house is also baby proofed which makes it easier.

Enjoying sitting on the patio with Wilson, Layla, and Sofie

The best swing EVER!  I so wish we had trees at our house.

Waiting for bubbles!!

What I love most about our group of friends is that no matter where we go we can always make it fun and make a game up.  The boys always have some kind of bet going! :)

Fishing!

Sweet Caroline and Marci

We were going to have a big bonfire but it was way too windy so we just had a small little one to keep us warm.

The boys really had a lot of outdoor fun!
Thank you Terrys for hosting us again.  We sure had fun with the y'all, the Hunts, and Burns but really missed the Nguyens, Addisons, and Greenes!

15 months!

Blog, what blog?  I have been so busy lately that I've barely had time to write a grocery list much less a blog.  Things are kind of slow this week and I'm very thankful for that. I thought I would write a couple of my favorite things Aiden is doing these days so I can remember!

Aiden has been so fun lately.  Each month I think to myself "this is my favorite age".  I'm really trying to enjoy each stage because I think there will come a point, around 2 or 3, that it will stop being my favorite age for a bit.  He is talking so much lately.  It seems like every couple days a new word pops up.  His vocabulary consist of: MINE, mama, dada, hi, bye, buh bye, moo, cow, dog, cat (sort of), shoe, sock, book (his first), juice, bite (his favorite), and my very favorite word he says right now PLEASE (which comes out peazz).  Ah, it just melts my heart when he says peazzz!

Other stats for our favorite little 15 month old:
Height: 32.5 inches
Weight: 23 pounds
Favorite foods: Milk, chicken (doesn't really care for heavily breaded chicken though), carrots, humus, bell peppers, peanut butter, grapes, oranges, avocados, grilled cheese or pita pockets with cheese.
Favorite activities: Reading books, building blocks, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, anything outside
Sleep: Aiden wakes up around 8:30, naps from 1-3:30, goes to bed around 8:30--- It's beautiful, although, I do miss his second nap.
Favorite things: Animals, any kind but really loves cows and dogs.   His pacifier is also a favorite :(  I'm not really sure when we will try and take that away.

Love him! This is one of our lazy days playing outside.  Our front driveway and backyard patio is covered with sidewalk chalk! :)
